Leave the car on, turn it off, I don’t care
I am going for a walk
Before long I am panting and drooling like a sick little dog, white and crusty with red eyes and heavy breath
Three boys in jackets come up to me. A plaid jacket, a black jacket, a white jacket
The first asks me for my nose
I say no
The second asks for my toes
I say no
The third asks me for a piece of my hand
I say I’ll think about it, and he says not good enough
He walks away. The others follow
I stay put and they do not come back. OK. I keep my nose and my toes and all of my hands in a thick cloth sack just in case but what did they offer me? Nothing.
I hope for my sake that I die!
